Who is it for?

Teachers who are new to teaching in Y1 or are returning to Y1 after a period of time.

What are the benefits?

Objectives:

By the end of the course, participants will have an understanding of:
● the importance of effective transition into Year 1
● the elements of effective teaching and learning in Year 1 and share good practice
● how to plan for good progress in Year 1 in relation to the curriculum end of year expectations
● the arrangements for the Year 1 Phonics Screening Check
